Our responsible growth
In 2022 we exceeded 120 million euros in turnover. This result makes us proud, but it makes us feel even more responsible towards our stakeholders: achieving such ambitious goals makes us increasingly aware of how much our growth must also be sustainable. In fact, for us the challenge is to commit ourselves every day to generate a positive change that everyone can benefit from, promoting initiatives and solutions that are able to bring well-being to the society in which we live and of which we feel responsible.
ITP has always considered the protection of the environment and the containment of the risks associated with its activities a daily commitment and continuous improvement, also in consideration of the precautionary principle. We were one of the first companies in the packaging sector certified according to ISO 14001 for the environmental management system. Since 2008 we have carried out our activities with Integrated Environmental Authorization, identifying, containing and constantly monitoring the impacts in the environmental matrices.
Health, safety and training of collaborators
Almost 20 years ago, we voluntarily decided to implement an integrated management system for occupational health and safety, recognizing the potential of this tool, aimed at improving worker prevention and protection policies and aimed at combating injuries, near misses and professional diseases. In 2020 we successfully completed the transition from OSHAS 18001 to ISO 45001. We promote dialogue and communication, especially in the field of occupational safety. The HSE team is a constant and daily interface for all collaborators.
We have launched an intense training program for the development of personnel which covers various aspects of their activities in the company. Specific courses on company tools and processes are accompanied by programs for the development of soft skills for collaborators. Along with classroom activities – proposed in the innovative training room set up with the best technologies – training courses and on-the-job training are held.
Product quality and sustainability
Il marchio Pack Revolution, creato nel 2018, è nato per identificare la sostenibilità nel packaging e il nostro contributo ad una economia circolare dove l’imballaggio non diventi scarto. Un marchio forte, che si riferisce alla nostra capacità innovativa e alla rivoluzione tecnologica di cui siamo capaci. Si tratta di
imballaggi sostenibili e riciclabili, che si propongono come pionieri nella rivoluzione verde nel mondo del packaging. Il rivoluzionario concetto di sostenibilità nasce dall’utilizzo di materie prime da fonti rinnovabili, dall’utilizzo di scarti industriali e da post-consumo, dalla possibilità di riciclo del packaging dopo il suo impiego, dalla riduzione degli spessori e dalla compostabilità certificata.
Le certificazioni di prodotto e processo non riguardano solo la sostenibilità ma anche la sicurezza dei nostri prodotti. In ITP valutiamo al 100%, secondo oneri di legge specifici, gli impatti sulla salute e sulla sicurezza dei nostri prodotti nell’ottica di un miglioramento continuo.
The Pack Revolution brand, created in 2018, was born to identify sustainability in packaging and our contribution to a circular economy where packaging does not become waste. A strong brand, which refers to our innovative capacity and the technological revolution we are capable of. These are sustainable and recyclable packaging, which are proposed as pioneers in the green revolution in the world of packaging. The revolutionary concept of sustainability arises from the use of raw materials from renewable sources, from the use of industrial and post-consumer waste, from the possibility of recycling packaging after its use, from the reduction of thicknesses and from certified compostability.
Product and process certifications not only concern sustainability but also the safety of our products. At ITP we evaluate 100%, according to specific legal obligations, the impacts on health and safety of our products with a view to continuous improvement.
Sustainability for people
In 2021, an all-female team set up the first Sustainability Committee, to better structure our environmental and social objectives. In fact, although the majority of the company population is made up of men, we are proud to have female figures in some strategic roles such as R&D Manager, QHSE Manager and Administration Manager. ITP’s commitment to equal opportunities and the enhancement of women’s work is enriched with new projects every year.
The Committee carried out both important projects involving the supply chain (Ocean Clean Sweep) and the reporting of the impacts of our activities on the environment, with the publication of the first Sustainability Report.
An important aspect of the link with the territory is the active participation of ITP in the trade associations operating at the local level. The sharing of our projects with smaller entrepreneurial realities, the adhesion to structured initiatives in favor of the territory, of which we also act as spokesmen, the participation in the decisions as council members, make our direct contribution active and concrete.
In 2022 ITP became a Benefit Company and was awarded the ECOVADIS 2023 Silver Medal for corporate social sustainability performance.
