ITP at MeetingPack 2026: a key player in innovation for flexible packaging

ITP – Industria Termoplastica Pavese will take part in MeetingPack 2026, the leading international conference dedicated to barrier food packaging, taking place from 21 to 22 April 2026 in Valencia.

MeetingPack is a biennial event that brings together the entire packaging value chain — material producers, converters, brand owners, the food industry, research centers and institutional stakeholders — to discuss the main technological, regulatory and sustainability trends in the food packaging sector.

The event is organized by the Spanish technology centers AIMPLAS (Instituto Tecnológico del Plástico) and AINIA, both recognized at European level as key players in applied research, industrial innovation and technology transfer in packaging and polymer materials.

A contribution to the technical program

As part of Session 1 – Innovative materials and processes for the production of sustainable packaging (I), ITP will contribute to the conference program with the presentation:

“Redesigning Flexible Packaging: Advanced Triple Bubble Extrusion for High Performance, Downgauged Films”, delivered by the company’s Head of Special Extrusion Technologies.

The presentation will focus on Triple Bubble® technology and its role in the redesign of high‑performance Triflex flexible films, showing how advanced biaxial extrusion makes it possible to achieve excellent mechanical, optical and barrier properties, even at reduced thicknesses. This approach opens up new opportunities for the development of packaging solutions that are increasingly efficient and sustainability‑oriented.

Triflex T‑Lid among the highlights of the Awards

ITP will also take part in the MeetingPack Awards 2026 with Triflex T‑Lid, which has been shortlisted among the finalists in the flexible packaging category.

The finalist projects will be featured in a dedicated session within the official program and will be showcased at the conference venue, offering participants the opportunity to engage with some of the most relevant and promising solutions currently being developed in the barrier packaging sector.

A path of continuous evolution

In line with the evolving regulatory framework and growing market expectations, ITP continues to develop solutions increasingly aligned with design‑for‑recycling principles, with further improvements currently under study and validation. The company remains focused on maintaining a careful balance between sustainability and material performance.
