Peelability mechanisms

Perfect for bags and tray lids, they are divided into several technical families:

Cohesive peel: The sealing layer contains “islands” of incompatible polymer that facilitate opening through localized weakening. Ideal for applications on polyethylene (PE) film or sealing between identical materials.
Adhesion peel: These use adhesive resins calibrated to adhere precisely to materials such as PS, PP, PET, or PVC, ensuring easy and clean opening.
Busrt peel: When opening, the sealing layer breaks (burst peel mechanism), exposing the peelable layer underneath and ensuring clean and controlled separation.

Peelable films for lamination – technologies

ITP offers solutions for creating peelable laminates designed for specific applications:

PE on PE: polyethylene film, slippery, ideal for vertical packaging machines, with specific versions for coffee.
PE on PP: perfect for PP dessert trays, used on vertical packaging machines due to the slippery surface.
